Sin in the body is like a dirty house.
The first time you see the dirt, it does something to you. It makes you
itch and want to clean. If by chance you don't do it immediately and
push it for another day, somehow you will find an excuse to clean
another day. Tomorrow somehow doesn't materialize. Before you know it,
what was once an eye sore, you overlook. It's there but you somehow programmed your mind not to see it.
Soon enough it starts to look normal to you. Time will desensitize you
if you let something linger long enough.
Its time to clean our body
for it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Don't let sin linger long
enough that you get desensitized to its filth. Just because you overlook
it doesn't mean its not there! It will give an odor that is unpleasant.
It gets harder to clean after its been present in a body a long time.
(1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Do you not know that your bodies are temples of
the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You
are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with
your bodies.
(Romans 12:21) Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
