Light your Lamp

    Mathew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

No one wants to spend time in total darkness. Someone will find the switch and turn the lights on thus dispelling the darkness. If there is no electricity then one will reach for a candle. The Light coming from either source will illuminate and make it easier to navigate and find stuff.
Without the light, one would be bumping into stuff and it would be a nightmare to find anything. Too frustrating and aggravating which can lead to all sorts of things for example a dull mood, anger, accidents etc.
     Psalm 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The Lord has made it quite easy for us to travel this sojourn we have embarked on. He had the Bible written and within it, Truth is contained. Truth has a way of warding away misunderstanding. It has a way of leading us onto the right path.
     Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [Vision]: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
   Psalm 119:11
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Don't take your salvation for granted. When you loose sight of the ultimate Goal i.e. Jesus Christ, at this junction you find your steps heading in the wrong direction. Also, behind you is a trail of people who have looked up to you because they saw Jesus in you! Keep the LIGHT burning so that others may know which way to go.

SOUND The ALARM!!!

Obadiah means servant/worshiper of the LORD.

Where are the Obadiah's of this generation? We have a people who are divided between two opinions.
    1 Kings 18:21
Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal [man-made gods] is god, follow him. But the people said nothing.
   Mathew 6:24

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money [man-made gods].
You are designed to be loyal to one thing at a time. You can not be a person without a stand. Without an opinion. You have to stand for something or else you are double-minded.
   James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Jesus repaired the altar and God wants out hearts to turn back to Him again. The Lord is gracious and like the prodigal son, He will receive us with open arms when we repent and seek His face.

   John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
There's a better place to spend eternity.

Its your choice! Heaven or Hell.
Be not divided between opinions. Be loyal and faithful to the one True GOD. Jehovah YWH. JESUS' return is eminent. Make a choice Now!

Mentor

In life there's a need for mentorship.  Look up to the Rock from which you were hewn (Isaiah 51:1) Jesus has set such a good example for us to emulate. Don't grow weary but keep getting up and fighting the good fight. Marching on ... to Zion.

The lyrics below have a way of speaking volumes. Please read and ponder on such things.

JESUS CULTURE LYRICS

"Where You Go I Go"

Where You go I go
What You say I say
What You pray I pray
What You pray I pray [repeat]

Jesus only did what He saw You do
He would only say what he heard You speak
He would only move when He felt You lead
Following Your heart, following Your spirit

How could I expect to walk without You
When every move that Jesus made was in surrender
I will not begin to live without You
For You only are worthy, You are always good

You are always good

Where You go I go
What You say I say God
What You pray I pray
What You pray I pray

Though the world sees and soon forgets
We will not forget who you are
And what you've done for us,
what you've done for us

Dirty House

Sin in the body is like a dirty house.
The first time you see the dirt, it does something to you. It makes you itch and want to clean. If by chance you don't do it immediately and push it for another day, somehow you will find an excuse to clean another day. Tomorrow somehow doesn't materialize. Before you know it, what was once an eye sore, you overlook. It's there but you somehow programmed your mind not to see it. Soon enough it starts to look normal to you. Time will desensitize you if you let something linger long enough.
Its time to clean our body for it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Don't let sin linger long enough that you get desensitized to its filth. Just because you overlook it doesn't mean its not there! It will give an odor that is unpleasant. It gets harder to clean after its been present in a body a long time.

(1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
(Romans 12:21) Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Not Loosing Heart

I have to admit that i have been caught by the bug of playing candy crush, pet saga, farm heroes saga among a host of other games! Yes My man and close friends tell me that i need intervention. Some anonymous group of some sort. Well, I will get to that some other time...
While playing this games, I have to play my cards well or I will be stuck in a specific level for days or even months. The horror! Repeating the same level over and ovER and OVER. At times I end up giving up on the game for a few days then resume to see if am recharged enough to overcome that challenge. I have resulted to engaging a friend to help me out at times because I was having a difficult time.
The glee of going to another level is awesome. Then it dawns on you that it is another set up; a challenge.
There are key components you need:-
1. Aptitude
2. Endurance
3. Perseverance
4. Excellence
There are tests we go through as Christians. They are to check if we are conforming to be more Christ-like. Failure is not the end. Ask for help from a fellow believer if need arises. You can get up back again and keep running. The idea is to get to the RIGHT finishing line and get your Golden Crown. Good and faithful servant.

(Proverbs 24:16a) for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, ...
(Hebrew 12:1-3) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

GIFT

Gift:
 1. A thing given willingly to someone without repayment.
 2. A present.
 3. Endow someone with (something)

There are abilities that come so natural to us. We don't have to make an extra effort to do certain tasks. You just function like a fish in the sea or ocean. Where do such abilities come from? Are we born with them? Do we have to learn them?
I believe that as much as we are born with this talents and gifts engraved in our DNA there are other gifts we have to put an effort to function in such capabilities. I back this up with the Irrefutable Word of God.
     Romans 11:29
29. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

     2 Timothy 1:6
6. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Gifts are not limited to a selected few. For example ... Some have a beautiful voice that can carry souls to a different realm. Authoritative figures who are so eloquent and articulate who can turn the hearts of men to mutiny or compliance. A cook that can make delicacies so delicious that people line up in the hot sun, sometimes for hours, just to dine in their restaurants. A writer who's letters jump out of the book and bring healing to a soul. The gifts are too many to summarize here. Whatever you are good at that is your gifting (as long as its not on the wrong side of the law ... lol ... we can't have criminals running around saying this is the gift I posses.). God has not limited us to a selected few gifts because His nature is so diverse, we as humans can not comprehend at the present time but full comprehension will come in Heaven. Everyone was born with a gift, find yours and develop it to excellence.
      Romans 12:6-8
6. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
7. if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach
8. if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

It doesn't cost you a dime to smile, Smile away (even if they don't return your smile) and gift someone with a ray of hope in an otherwise dark world. If it is to crotchet and you love making beautiful stuff go ahead. Crafts may be your niche, and by making cards and by selling them or gifting it to someone may remind someone that people actually care and they are not alone. You may be a people person and may enjoy volunteering at a center for feeding the needy or spend time reading to the elderly. Do something that makes you and others happy.
       Ecclesiastes 9:10
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

Perhaps at times our scope has been narrowed by exposure. Don't be afraid to venture out and try new stuff. Sometimes you may never know if you like something unless you try!!! Use caution of-course. Don't forget reason and quit your job on a whim but pray and let God guide and order your steps.

Find your Gift and Excel in it :) Blessed be the Name of the Lord. Amen.

REAL TALK FROM THE HEART

It's much easier to trust and lean on a tree or a rock because you have the assurance that there's little chance of it moving from where it is stationed. However in case of water or the wind, there's a bit of mistrust with these elements because of their unstable nature. They are malleable. They can easily conform to other factors that contort them.

In life you get people from both worlds:
1. stable and trustworthy
2. Unstable and Untrustworthy

Wisdom calls for one to seriously consider their options. To put them on a scale and weigh one's thoughts carefully. Consider sound advice and discard the junk.

Proverbs 18:24 (NIV)
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Psalm 61:2 (NIV)
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

I rely, trust and lean on Jesus Christ daily as He's been a friend who's stuck closer than a brother. He is the Rock. I have learned to depend upon his Word (BIBLE).

Names and their Meanings

Be very careful as you name your children. It sets the tone to their life. Choose wisely the name and don't go naming your child a name because it sounds cute! Or it's a celebrity's name. Or  its a name that has come down your bloodline through ancestors whom you don't even know as to why they settled on such a name. Investigate and find out the inherent meaning of the name. With modern technology it is easy to find the root of the name and figure if it is worthy :)

Find out the meaning of your name if you don't already know.

Have a fantastic day!!!

Songs of Solomon 7:1

How beautiful your sandaled feet, O prince's daughter! Your graceful legs are like jewels, the work of an artist's hands.
